The Isaiah 53:5 Project

He was a King
Glory deserving
Yet He came as a man
To fulfill the plan.

To the blind He gave sight
Commanded them to do right
To the deaf He gave hearing
Through Him the mute’s now singing.

He healed the poor with leprosy
And gave aid while they’re in agony
Made whole the broken
But His deeds were forgotten.

Disciples’ feet He washed
Pride was crushed
Humility was portrayed
Yet the Pharisees were dismayed.

His own He did not consider
But He took care of the other
He shared love with gentleness
He extended mercy with loving kindness.

King He was and will ever be
Man we are for eternity
So who are we to give an excuse
To His commandments, why do we refuse?

He told us to love one another
To help each one to be better
In our little ways let’s be of service
